This 2014 – 2021 accessibility plan outlines the policies and actions that Liftow Limited will put in place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

Statement of Commitment
Liftow is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Accessible Emergency Information
Liftow is committed to providing the customers and clients with publicly available emergency information in an accessible way upon request. We will also provide employees with disabilities with individualized emergency response information when necessary.

Training
Liftow will provide training to its employees on Ontario's accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of our employees.

Information and Communications
Liftow is committed to meeting the communications needs of people with disabilities.

We will ensure any new websites and content on those new sites will confirm with WCAG 2.0 level A by January 2, 2014.

We will review our existing feedback process to ensure they are accessible to people with disabilities upon request by January 1, 2015.

We will review all public information to ensure it is accessible upon request by January 1, 2016.

Employment Liftow is committed to fair and accessible employment practices and will ensure a review is done to meet compliance by January 1, 2016.

We will ensure that the public and employees know that when requested during the advertisements and interviews stages of the recruitment process we will accommodate people with disabilities.

We will accomplish this by adding a statement of how we will accommodate if required to our job advertisements and to interview confirmation emails.

Liftow currently has a Return to Work Policy in place that outlines the process for developing individual accommodation plans for employees that have been absent due to a disability.

Liftow will review and revise performance management forms which include career development plans to ensure it the accessibility need of employee with disabilities are taken into account.
