Jim and Jacintha Collins founded Harvest Hands in 2020 out of a deep desire to help feed their community. Harvest Hands created a unique model—rescuing food from businesses and local growers, diverting it from landfills, and delivering it to families in need. Their mission is built on passion: to provide a hand up for a better future and hope for tomorrow.
Without ongoing government funding, Harvest Hands relies entirely on generous donors and dedicated volunteers. What began in 2020 in a small church basement has grown into an incredible operation that now provides the equivalent of 125,000 free meals every month. Today, they partner with 300 nonprofit organizations and count on the help of more than 250 volunteers.
On August 20, 2025, Liftow London proudly donated a Toyota electric counterbalance lift truck with charger. This donation was made possible when our Used Sales Representative, Alan Bruno, connected our team with the Ingersoll Rotary Club, who supported this opportunity. Liftow was very excited to be involved, as this initiative aligns with our #liftowcares program.
During our site visit, we witnessed firsthand the compassion and camaraderie of the many volunteers who were packing boxes, stocking shelves, sorting fresh vegetables and warmly welcoming us into the facility. The passion and dedication Jim, Jacintha and their daughter bring to this nonprofit is inspiring, reminding us of the impact communities can have when they come together. “It’s great to see there is still some good in the world,” Jim told us several times during our visit.
